HISTORY OF NORD

Clavia Digital Musical Instruments is known as a Swedish manufacturer of virtual analog synths, virtual electromechanical pianos and stage pianos. Since 1995, Clavia’s keyboards have been branded to what we all know as Nord. The company released its first synthesizer, the Nord Lead, in 1995 that combines a distinctive sound with an intuitive user interface making it a fan favourite. As the company continued developing, the Nord Stage appeared in 2005, combining Clavia's new areas of expertise — acoustic and electric piano sounds, organ emulations, effects, and even a synthesizer! It was in 2010 that Nord introduced the Nord Piano, a lightweight stage piano with advanced String Resonance and a unique Nord Triple Pedal. Now on their fourth generation, Nord's award-winning Piano series enhances the piano experience with greatly expanded voice polyphony, Triple Sensor key-beds, and Virtual Hammer Action Technology.
